In most cases, swelling is reduced by constantly exposing it to warm water or hot packs to help relax the swelling of the muscles and the veins underneath. Cold packs may be used to numb the nerves to reduce the pain. You can also utilize herbal products, like balms and ointments with cooling effect to achieve the same result; as well as lubricating the surrounding area to avoid friction to avoid worsening the problem.
Keep in mind that alternative treatment is not instantaneous as most would believe. In most cases, it would take at least a week or two depending on the severity of your hemorrhoid until it disappears entirely.
